Dribble for the Cure

Vice President Lindsay Yocum will be attending Dribble for the Cure, an event for Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation that unites people through basketball to help children diagnosed with rare forms of cancer.

Did you know that one in 300 Americans will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 20?  Did you know that each year cancer kills more children and adolescents than any other disease?  Did you know that you can make a difference?

Vice President Lindsay Yocum has decided to join the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and help do something about this devastating disease. She is attending the 3rd Annual “Dribble for the Cure” on Sunday, November 7th at Drake Stadium, UCLA.  The money raised will fund research that explores causes, treatments and cures for pediatric cancer.

PCRF works very hard to ensure that over 80% of all funds raised go directly to research.  If you cannot join us for the event, please consider making a donation to support our efforts.  You’ll be helping Lindsay reach her goal, as well as raising money to fight a disease that robs too many children of their childhood.

Making a donation is easy.  Simply visit my personal home page on PCRF’s official web site by following the link: Dribble for the Cure, supporting PCRF and using your credit card to make a tax-deductible donation in any amount.

Dribble for the Cure is just another example of how basketball can unite a community to fight for a cause, whether it’s giving underprivileged children the tools they need to succeed or helping children overcome life-threatening diseases.
